Tanveer Mahmood joined BIDS as a Research Associate in February 2019. He completed B.S.S (Honors) and M.S.S in Economics from the University of Dhaka respectively in 2016 and 2017. Before joining BIDS, he completed an internship programme offered by the International Labour Organization (ILO) at Bangladesh Skill for Employment and Productivity (BSEP) project. 

Tanveer's area of interest lies in Applied Microeconomics; Applied Econometrics; Philosophy of Economics; Poverty and Inequality; Labour Market and Societal Impact of Technological Change etc.
