Mr. Zabid Iqbal received his Ph.D. in Economics from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA in Spring 2017. Before that, he completed his M.S.S in Economics from University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007. He is trained in agricultural economics, applied econometrics, and international trade. His Ph.D. dissertation focuses on issues related to the global agricultural food production, land use, and price transmission. He is particularly interested in using applied economic theory and econometric methods (time-series, micro and macro panel estimators) to address questions and methodological challenges relating to the analysis of agricultural food production, food prices, energy prices, price transmission, food security, and poverty, among many other issues.
