BIDS and Bonik Barta jointly honour young entrepreneurs
Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and Bonik Barta honoured young entrepreneurs at an award giving ceremony on 29 January, 2018. This was the fifth time they jointly organised the event.
Tofail Ahmed, Commerce Minister, Govt of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, handed over the awards to the recipients at a colourful ceremony at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in Dhaka. Maliha M Quadir, managing director of shohoz.com, Afroza Begum, managing director of Khan's Kitchen, and Faruk Hossen, proprietor of Madina Metal Industries were recognised for their outstanding contributions.
Dr. KAS Murshid, director general of BIDS, congratulated the winners and emphasized the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in meeting national plan objectives.
The event was attended by academicians, researchers and eminent people.
