The Policy Resource Programme of Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies organized a
seminar on Exchange Rate Management under Floating Regime in Bangladesh on 16 July
2009. Mr. Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Hon’ble Finance Minister attended as Chief Guest and
Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank was the Special Guest at the
seminar. The keynote paper was presented by Dr. Monzur Hossain, Research Fellow, BIDS.
Prof. M.A. Taslim, CEO, BFTI joined as discussant. Dr. Mustafa Kamal Mujeri, DG, BIDS
and Dr. KAS Murshid, Director, BIDS-PRP jointly chaired the seminar.
